Paul’s Tomb Hiking Trails

Paul’s Tomb is located on Knox Mountain, which is only five minutes from downtown city of Kelowna. Knox Mountain is Kelowna’s most well-known park, with many paths crisscrossing the mountain. There’s also lots of beach access along the mountain, and Paul’s Tomb trail leads to one of them.

The track is simple, well-kept, and enjoyable in any season, though it is wonderful in the spring and fall. Hike along the base of Knox Mountain while taking in amazing views of Okanagan Lake.

Paul’s Tomb is a popular green gravel road with a family-friendly trail located near Kelowna, British Columbia. It is 2,503 meters long. With an 18-meter green ascent, this mountain bike primary track can be used in both directions and easy overall physical rating. This trial takes an average of 8 minutes to complete.

Directions To Trailhead:

The major trailhead to Paul’s Tomb starts at Knox Mountain’s upper parking lot (Lower Crown Lookout), typically accessible unless the bottom’s gate is closed. If this is the case, you can still trek up 1/3 of the Apex Trail to the parking lot and Paul’s Tomb Trail.

An alternative access point is located off Poplar Point Dr. (turn left at the north end of Ellis Dr instead of entering the main Knox parking lot). This cuts off the hike by half, including the steep downhill sections, and is ideal for families with little children.

Paul’s Tomb Trail

The latter is the most popular starting place, despite its steep hill beginning. The most prominent feature of this trip is the beautiful lake views and secluded beach at the end, rather than the tomb itself.

The trail is large and well-kept, making it more suitable for people of all ages. You won’t have to worry about stumbling over a root here, but there isn’t much in the way of shade. You’ll start sweating quickly in the heat of summer, so remain hydrated and protect yourself from the sun! Sunglasses, as well as sunscreen, lip balm, and hats, are essential.

Families may play sports in the clearing or play with their pets. The route is most popular in the spring, summer, and fall, but it may also be enjoyed in the winter.

Parking

Around Knox Mountain, there is plenty of free parking. On the mountain, there are two parking lots as well as plenty of roadside parking.
